Welcome to the Delaware Panthers Den

Guiding Principles
Each player must exhibit good behavior and sportsmanship at all times and maintain a grade point average that is acceptable to his parent or guardian. Any player who does not abide by this principle will be dismissed from the team.

1. The teams will be known as the “Delaware Panthers”. At any point, if there are two teams in the same age group, one team will be known as “Panther Black” and the second team will be known as “Panther Grey”.

2. All team members that play on a Panther Basketball Club team must live in the New Castle County and/or surrounding county school districts. Only the operating committee can make waivers. This requirement is in place to assure each player participates in as many practice sessions as possible.

3. The Panther Basketball Club will always maintain an up to date roster. It will include the players name, parent(s) name, address, and phone number for each player.

4. The Program Directors/Coaching Staff is in charge of selecting its players. There will be no more than fourteen players on each team.

5. All gym time (practices and games) will be scheduled by the coaching staff.

6. Basketballs will be supplied by the Delaware Panther Basketball Club.

7. Panther Basketball expenses are broken down into two categories, “team expenses” and potential “additional tournament expenses”. The team expense is a yearly charge that includes tournament entry fees, uniform costs, and any administration fees. Any additional expenses will only be applicable if the Program Directors decide to participate in additional tournaments. At that time, parents may be asked to participate in fund raising events &/or assistance with additional fees and expenses.

8. All Panther teams will wear the uniform that the organizing committee designates as the Panther Basketball Club uniform.

9. Any rule changes can only be accomplished by a majority vote of the Panther Basketball Club committee.

10. Any coach of the Panther Basketball Club who fails to follow the rules of this organization may be removed from his/her position by a majority vote of the Panther Basketball operating committee.

11. All players participating in Panther Basketball Club will play in their skill level group only.

12. Panther Basketball Club demands the undivided attention of its players during practice and games. Players will not learn if they do not listen. Parents we ask no coaching from the stands be done during games to avoid any confusion when the coaches are giving players instruction(s).

13. We at the Panther Basketball Club guarantee that you will see a major improvement in your child’s overall understanding of the game of basketball and it’s fundamentals after completion of this Panther Basketball Club experience.
